Lost Summer
This project was created between May and September of 2025, when I was catapulted directly into life after college. There’s nothing that can prepare you for the feeling, like missing a limb. The thing that I had loved (and resented) for the last 4 years was no longer my companion. All of a sudden, I was aimless. My support system fell away, and with it my confidence. There is something to be said for feeling like you’re good at something, then bad at everything.
Shot on black and white film, which reflects the quiet sense of renewal during this time. “Lost Summer” invites the viewer to reflect and think back on every summer that felt immune to the effects of time, yet so fleeting.
